Digital Security Features on the Rajasthan Certificate
The issued certificate is completely paperless and legally certified:
- Encrypted QR Code: Contains embedded cryptographic verification metadata. Any recruiting body (RPSC, RSSB, police, or university) can scan the QR code to verify the authentic state record instantly.
- Digital Signature Certificate (DSC): Bears the electronic signature of the issuing Tehsildar or SDO. No physical signature or rubber stamp is legally required.
- e-Mitra Watermark & Token Number: Authenticates the payment and processing audit trail.
Fixing “Validity Unknown” or Yellow Question Mark (?) in PDF
When opened in standard web browsers, digitally signed PDFs often show a yellow question mark (?) or “Signature Not Verified”. This is purely a software display issue:
- Open the downloaded PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer.
- Right-click on the signature box and select Validate Signature.
- Click Signature Properties > Show Signer's Certificate > Trust tab.
- Click Add to Trusted Certificates, check “Certified documents”, and click OK.
- The yellow question mark will turn into a green checkmark (
✔ Signature Valid).
