Madhya Pradesh Caste Certificate (स्थायी जाति प्रमाण पत्र) Portal Guide
In Madhya Pradesh, issuing permanent caste certificates for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) is governed by the Madhya Pradesh Public Services Guarantee Act 2010 (मध्य प्रदेश लोक सेवा गारंटी अधिनियम 2010). Applications are processed digitally via the official MP e-District Portal (mpedistrict.gov.in), citizen login, and local Lok Seva Kendras (LSK / लोक सेवा केंद्र).
To ensure only authentic permanent residents receive state reservation benefits in MPPSC, MPESB (Vyapam), school/college admissions, and welfare scholarships, the state enforces two key administrative requirements: a verified Samagra ID (समग्र आईडी) and residency proof benchmarked against 1950 (SC/ST) or 1984 (OBC).
Unlike many other states, Madhya Pradesh requires every applicant to provide an active 9-digit Samagra Member ID (सदस्य आईडी) and 8-digit Family ID (परिवार आईडी) registered with the Samagra Social Security Mission (samagra.gov.in).
- Entering your Samagra Member ID automatically pulls your official name, father's name, date of birth, and household address from state records.
- Your Aadhaar e-KYC must be completed on the Samagra portal before applying. If there is a spelling mismatch between your Aadhaar card and Samagra profile, update it on
samagra.gov.infirst.

The 1950 & 1984 Cut-Off Rule (and Relief for Families Without Old Records)
Under General Administration Department (GAD MP) regulations:
- For SC & ST Applicants: Evidence of family residence and domicile in Madhya Pradesh on or before Year 1950 (Presidential Order cut-off) is evaluated.
- For OBC Applicants: Evidence of family permanent domicile in Madhya Pradesh on or before 26 December 1984 is evaluated.
Rule for Married Women: Father's Lineage & Paternal Address Mandatory
In Madhya Pradesh, caste status is acquired strictly by biological birth from the father. A married woman must apply using her father's name, family caste records, and paternal hometown address (पिता के नाम एवं मायके के पते से).
Applying based on your husband's caste certificate, ration card, or in-laws' address will lead to direct rejection during document verification for MPPSC, MP High Court, and MPESB recruitments.
