Documents Required for Caste Certificate in Rajasthan (Complete Checklist)
Having your paperwork verified and ready in the prescribed format prevents file rejections by the Revenue Tehsildar or SDO. Below is the complete, official checklist of documents required for SC, ST, OBC, MBC, and EWS applications in Rajasthan.
Mandatory Core Documents Checklist:
Active 10-digit Jan Aadhaar number or Enrollment ID with completed Aadhaar e-KYC on janaadhaar.rajasthan.gov.in. Name, birth date, and father's name must match your school records.
Official printed application form with applicant's color passport photograph pasted and self-signed across the corner. Format: JPG/PDF under 100 KB. Use our free compressor tool to resize.
Signatures and official designations/stamps from two authorized referees (Gazetted Officers, School Headmaster/Principal, Govt Doctor, Sarpanch, Ward Parshad, or MLA/MP).
Signed and stamped verification from your local area Revenue Patwari verifying family caste, ancestral lineage, and permanent village residence.
Copy of family land record (Jamabandi Nakal or Khasra) from apnakhata.rajasthan.gov.in showing family presence in Rajasthan, or old municipal house tax receipt.
Father's previously issued caste certificate, or grandfather's / real brother's certificate, or father's school transfer certificate (TC) mentioning caste.
Category-Specific Additional Documents
Proof of family annual income below ₹8 Lakhs: Income Tax Return (ITR), Form 16, or Tehsildar-signed Income Certificate (आय प्रमाण पत्र). If extending an existing 1-year certificate, attach the Self-Declaration Affidavit (प्रपत्र 'च').
Family income and asset certificate proving gross annual income under ₹8 Lakhs, agricultural land under 5 acres, or residential flat/plot within prescribed ceiling.
Special TSP Domicile Certificate (टीएसपी मूल निवास प्रमाण पत्र) verifying permanent residence in notified TSP tehsils of Dungarpur, Banswara, Pratapgarh, Udaipur, or Sirohi.
Mandatory Document Rule for Married Women (Paternal Records Only)
In Rajasthan, a married woman's caste certificate is issued exclusively based on her paternal ancestry. You must submit:
- Father's caste certificate or paternal land record (Jamabandi).
- Father's Jan Aadhaar Card or family ration card from her maternal home village.
- Marriage certificate (विवाह पंजीयन प्रमाण पत्र) — submitted only to connect her maiden name with her married name.
Never submit your husband's caste certificate or in-laws' address for caste proof; doing so will cause your application to be rejected during RPSC or RSSB scrutiny.
