Verifying DSC Digital Signature & 2D QR Barcode
Every authentic digital caste certificate issued by the Government of Himachal Pradesh contains two non-tamperable security components:
1. Cryptographic Digital Signature (DSC)

You can keep an official cloud copy in the DigiLocker app recognized legally under Indian law:
- Open the DigiLocker application or visit digilocker.gov.in.
- Under the State Government category, select Himachal Pradesh.

- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): The social caste validity is permanent, but the income Non-Creamy Layer ceiling (under ₹8 Lakh) is valid for 1 financial year (April 1 to March 31). Applicants must obtain fresh income endorsement for competitive exams.
