How to Download Haryana Caste Certificate PDF (SARAL & DigiLocker)
Once your SC, DSC, or BC-A/BC-B caste certificate application is approved by the Tehsildar or Naib Tehsildar on Antyodaya SARAL Haryana, an official digitally signed PDF is generated. Learn how to download and verify your authentic certificate from status.saralharyana.nic.in or sync it to DigiLocker.
Your digital certificate is generated only after your Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) records are verified or the Halka Patwari and Field Kanungo clear your Jamabandi land records and the Tehsildar applies their Digital Signature Certificate (DSC token). If your application status shows “Under Process” or “Forwarded to Patwari”, wait until the status reflects “Delivered” (जारी किया गया).
Method 1: Direct Download via SARAL Status Portal (No Login Required)
Visit status.saralharyana.nic.in/download on your browser.
Select “Revenue & Disaster Management Department”, select your certificate service, and input your 12-digit Saral ID (Application Reference Number).
When the file displays status as “Delivered”, click the green Download button. The high-resolution, colored PDF will download immediately to your device.
Method 2: Pull into DigiLocker App (Permanent Cloud Storage)
The Government of Haryana Revenue Department is integrated with the National DigiLocker ecosystem, enabling citizens to fetch verified digital certificates anytime:
- Open the DigiLocker website or mobile app and log in using your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
- Go to Search Documents and type “Revenue Department, Haryana” or “CRID Haryana”.
- Select “Scheduled Caste Certificate”, “Deprived Scheduled Caste Certificate”, or “Backward Class Certificate”.
- Enter your 12-digit Saral ID / Application Reference Number.
- Click “Get Document”. DigiLocker pulls the digitally signed PDF directly from the Haryana state repository.
- The fetched document holds equal legal validity to an original physical certificate under Rule 9A of the Information Technology Rules, 2016.
Digital Signature and QR Code Legal Validity
Haryana SARAL certificates carry an IT Act 2000 compliant cryptographic digital signature of the Tehsildar / Naib Tehsildar and an encrypted 2D Barcode / QR Code. Under Government of Haryana orders, no physical ink signature, round rubber seal, or revenue stamp is required. The certificate is 100% legally accepted by HPSC, HSSC, Haryana Police, universities, and central government recruiting agencies (UPSC, SSC, Railway).
How to Validate the Digital Signature in Adobe Acrobat Reader
When you open the downloaded PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader on a computer, the digital signature might initially display a yellow question mark (“? Validity Unknown”) because the Haryana NIC root certificate is not yet in your local trusted keystore. Follow these steps to validate it:
- Right-click on the signature box labeled “Digitally signed by Tehsildar...” and select “Show Signature Properties”.
- Click “Show Signer's Certificate”.
- Navigate to the “Trust” tab at the top of the dialog.
- Click “Add to Trusted Certificates” and confirm by clicking OK.
- Check the box that says “Certified documents” and click OK.
- Click “Validate Signature”. The signature status will instantly change to a green checkmark (“✓ Signature Valid”).
Always take a high-quality color printout on an A4 sheet (preferably 80+ GSM paper). Ensure that the Government of Haryana emblem watermark and the 2D QR Code are sharp and clearly legible so that document verification officers can scan the barcode during counselling or document verification.
