Antyodaya SARAL & PPP Walkthrough

How to Apply for Haryana Caste Certificate Online (SARAL & Family ID)

This comprehensive step-by-step tutorial walks you through applying for a Scheduled Caste (SC), Deprived Scheduled Caste (DSC), Backward Class Block ‘A’ (BC-A), or Backward Class Block ‘B’ (BC-B) certificate on saralharyana.gov.in using your 8-digit Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP / Family ID).

Mandatory Pre-requisite: Active Parivar Pehchan Patra (Family ID)

Before opening the SARAL portal, ensure that your family has an active 8-character Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) with an updated, functional mobile number. If your caste is already marked “VERIFIED” in the PPP database, your certificate will be auto-generated instantly without requiring manual document uploads!

6-Step Online Application Procedure on Antyodaya SARAL

1

Register or Log In on Antyodaya SARAL Portal

Navigate to the official Haryana government portal: saralharyana.gov.in . New users must click “New User? Register Here” and complete mobile OTP verification. If already registered, sign in using your login ID, password, and captcha.

2

Search & Select Caste Certificate Service

On the citizen dashboard, click on “Apply for Services” in the left navigation menu and choose “View all available services”. In the search bar on the top-right, enter “Caste Certificate” and select the relevant service under the Revenue & Disaster Management Department (e.g., Application for Scheduled Caste Certificate, Application for Deprived Scheduled Caste Certificate, or Application for Backward Class Certificate).

3

Enter Parivar Pehchan Patra (Family ID) & Verify via OTP

Select “I have Family ID” and enter your 8-digit Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) number. Choose the specific family member's name from the dropdown list. Click “Send OTP”. Enter the 4-digit OTP received on the registered mobile number linked with that Family ID to auto-fetch demographic and category records.

4

Select Tehsil Jurisdiction & Caste Sub-Category

Select your District, Sub-Division (SDO Civil), Tehsil, and Halka Patwari circle corresponding to your ancestral native village. For Backward Classes, specify whether you belong to Block ‘A’ (BC-A) or Block ‘B’ (BC-B) and select your recognized community name from the official drop-down schedule.

5

Upload Supporting Documents (If Caste is Unverified in PPP)

If your caste is already verified in PPP, document upload is automatically bypassed. If marked provisional or unverified, upload scanned PDF copies of pre-1966 residency proof (Jamabandi Nakal from jamabandi.nic.in), father's caste certificate, and signed Self-Declaration (Swaghoshna Patra) under 200 KB per file.

6

Submit Application for ₹0 & Save 12-Digit Saral ID

Review all entered information on the summary screen. Click “Submit” (the online portal fee is ₹0). Download and print the computer-generated acknowledgment slip containing your unique 12-digit Saral ID (Application Reference Number). This ID is essential for tracking progress and downloading the final certificate.

Common Application Mistakes That Lead to Rejection in Haryana

  • Discrepancies in Name or Parentage: Ensure the spelling in your Aadhaar matches your Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) exactly.
  • Married Women Using Husband's Family ID: Married female applicants must establish caste using their biological father's pre-1966 records and paternal lineage.
  • Exceeding ₹8 Lakh Income Limit for BC: For BC-A and BC-B categories, annual gross family income recorded in PPP must not breach the creamy layer threshold.
  • Uploading Blurry Scans: Scanned attachments must be clear, legibly showing village names, Jamabandi Khewat/Khasra numbers, and official signatures.
