Gujarat Caste Certificate Status Check Online (Digital Gujarat Portal)
After submitting your SC, ST, or SEBC (Baxi Panch / બક્ષી પંચ) caste certificate application on Digital Gujarat (digitalgujarat.gov.in) or at a Jan Seva Kendra (ATVT), you can monitor the live processing stages of your file in real time. Learn how to track Talati verification, understand status codes, and resolve departmental queries quickly.
Method 1: Track Status on Digital Gujarat Portal
Visit digitalgujarat.gov.in and sign in using your registered Mobile Number / Email and Password.
On your citizen dashboard, click on “Track Application Status” (or locate your submitted service under “My Applications”).
Enter your unique Application Number (generated upon fee payment) and click “Search”. The portal displays the current reviewing officer, inquiry remarks, and approval stage.
Gujarat Application Status Code Decoder
Your application has been received and is being examined by the clerical staff at the Taluka Mamlatdar office.
The file has been assigned to your village Talati-cum-Mantri (or City Talati in urban wards) to verify your family lineage, physical residence, and Pedhinama (પેઢીનામું). The Talati may contact you or schedule a brief village inquiry.
The Talati field report and Nayab Mamlatdar scrutiny are complete and favorable. The certificate is queued for electronic token signing (DSC) by the Mamlatdar or Taluka Development Officer.
Your certificate has been formally approved and signed. The official PDF with encrypted QR barcode is available for direct download.
The Mamlatdar or Talati has requested additional proof (commonly missing Pedhinama or pre-1978 School LC). You must log into Digital Gujarat and re-upload the requested document under “Query Clarification” within 7 to 15 days.
Tracking Applications Filed at Jan Seva Kendra (ATVT) or e-Gram (VCE)
If you submitted your Gujarat caste certificate physically through an Apno Taluko Vibrant Taluko (ATVT) Jan Seva Kendra or through the village Village Computer Entrepreneur (VCE) at the e-Gram Panchayat:
- Printed Barcode Token: The kiosk operator provides a physical acknowledgement receipt bearing a Barcoded Application ID.
- Digital Portal Sync: All ATVT applications are electronically logged into the same Digital Gujarat backend (`services.digitalgujarat.gov.in`).
- Online Status Lookup: You can enter the same Application ID into the Digital Gujarat 'Quick Status' search bar without creating an account to inspect whether your Talati roobroo verification is complete.
- SMS Notifications: Gujarat NIC sends automated SMS alerts at every processing transition (Assignment to Talati → Roobroo Verification Completed → Mamlatdar DSC Approval → Ready for Collection).
How to Escalate Delayed Applications in Gujarat
Under the Gujarat Citizen Charter, standard issuance takes 15 to 30 working days. If your file is delayed without valid objection:
- Digital Gujarat Helpdesk: Call the state toll-free helpline at 1800-233-5500 with your Application Number.
- Visit Taluka Jan Seva Kendra (ATVT): Visit your Taluka Mamlatdar office / ATVT center and meet the Nayab Mamlatdar handling revenue citizen services.
- SWAGAT Online Grievance Redressal: Register an official complaint on the Gujarat Chief Minister's SWAGAT portal (swagat.gujarat.gov.in) for fast-track departmental escalation.
- First Appeal to Prant Officer (SDM): Submit a written First Appeal before the Sub-Divisional Magistrate / Prant Officer (પ્રાંત અધિકારી) against administrative delay under the Citizen Charter.
