e-District Kerala Live Application Tracking (2026)
Track your Community Certificate or Caste Certificate application in real time. Under the Kerala Right to Service Act, 2012, certificates carry a statutory delivery guarantee of 5 to 7 working days. You can verify your active desk status online without logging in.
How to Check Kerala Caste Certificate Status Without Login
The e-District Kerala portal offers an instant public tracking tool on its homepage:
Visit the Official e-District Portal
Open edistrict.kerala.gov.in in your web browser.
Locate the “Track Application” Widget
On the top navigation or right side of the homepage, locate the Track Application Status search bar.
Enter Your Application Number
Type your unique e-District reference number (printed on your payment slip or received via SMS, e.g., ED/2026/184920).
View Current Stage & Officer Action
Click Submit. The portal renders the real-time stage, date of application, handling Village Officer, and expected delivery date.
Check Application Status Directly
Open the official e-District Kerala tracker tool in a new tab.
Decoding Kerala Revenue Department Workflow Stages
Understanding the specific message displayed by the e-District tracker tells you where your file is currently pending:
Application Received at Village Office
Your application has been received and digitally mapped to your native Village Officer (വില്ലേജ് ഓഫീസർ) for initial document scrutiny.
Under Enquiry / Field Verification
The Village Officer cross-checks school admission records, the Basic Tax Register (BTR), and family lineage to verify ancestral community status.
Pending Digital Signature (DSC)
Enquiry is completed favorably. The file is placed in the digital signing queue of the Village Officer or Tahsildar to affix their cryptographic DSC token.
Approved & Certificate Issued
Your certificate is approved. An automated SMS alert is dispatched. You can download the PDF containing the encrypted 2D barcode directly from your citizen account.
Do not file a new application. Log into your e-District account, click on Transaction History, select the defective transaction, read the Village Officer's remarks (e.g., “Upload clear copy of father's SSLC book”), attach the corrected PDF, and resubmit. The officer reviews it within 48 hours without additional fees.
How to File an Appeal Under the Kerala Right to Service Act
The Kerala Right to Service Act, 2012 mandates that designated officers must deliver caste certificates within 5 to 7 working days. If your application is unduly delayed without legitimate reason:
Tahsildar (Taluk Office)
Submit a written petition or online grievance citing your e-District Application Number to the Tahsildar. The Tahsildar conducts a summary review and directs the Village Officer to act within 5 working days.
Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO)
If the Taluk Office fails to resolve your grievance within 15 days, submit a Second Appeal to the RDO / Sub-Collector, who has statutory authority to levy monetary penalties on defaulting officers.
