When you open the downloaded PDF in desktop Adobe Acrobat Reader, the digital signature may initially show a yellow question mark (Signature Not Verified). Follow these steps to validate it:

Step 1: Open Signature Panel

Right-click on the signature box at the bottom of the certificate and click "Show Signature Properties".

Step 2: Show Signer's Certificate

Click "Show Signer's Certificate" and navigate to the "Trust" tab.

Step 3: Add to Trusted Certificates

Click "Add to Trusted Certificates", check the box for "Certified documents", and click OK. Close and reopen the PDF. The yellow question mark changes into a permanent Green Checkmark ("Signature Valid").

Permanent Lifetime Validity & QR Code Authentication

A Community Certificate issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu has permanent lifetime validity. Unlike an Income Certificate or OBC Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate which requires annual renewal, your caste status never changes. Any recruitment board (TNPSC, UPSC, SSC, RRB) or educational counseling body (TNEA, NEET-UG) can authenticate the certificate instantly by scanning the 2D QR barcode with a smartphone camera.
