Understanding Goa Online Status Messages & Milestones
Here is what each stage indicator in your Goa Online tracking dashboard means:
Application Submitted / Registered
Day 1Your online form and uploaded enclosures have been successfully recorded in the Goa Revenue database. The application is electronically transmitted to the concerned Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO).
Forwarded to Taluka Mamlatdar
Day 2–3The SDO office assigns the file to your local Taluka Mamlatdar (e.g., Tiswadi, Bardez, Salcete, Ponda) for field verification and scrutiny of pre-1968 records.
Under Talathi Field Verification
Day 4–6The village/ward Talathi verifies your family's pre-1968 residence through local inquiries, Panchayat records, or Portuguese birth registers (Teor de Nascimento). The Talathi submits a written report to the Mamlatdar.
Mamlatdar Scrutiny & SDO Sanction
Day 7–8The Mamlatdar verifies the Talathi report and recommends the application to the Deputy Collector / SDO for final statutory approval.
Approved & Delivered to Inbox
Day 9–10The Deputy Collector / SDO signs the certificate with a cryptographic digital signature (DSC). You receive an automated SMS notification, and the certificate is immediately downloadable from your Goa Online Inbox.
What to Do If Your Application is Delayed Beyond 10 Days?
Under the Goa Right to Time-bound Delivery of Public Services Act, citizen applications must be disposed of within 10 working days. If your status is stuck:
1. Check Portal Remarks
Log into Goa Online to verify if the Talathi has posted a “Query / Deficiency” asking for additional pre-1968 electoral or land records.
2. Visit Taluka Mamlatdar
Quote your Acknowledgement ID at your Taluka Mamlatdar office (Panaji, Mapusa, Margao, Ponda, etc.) to request immediate Talathi report clearance.
3. File First Appeal (PSGA)
If delayed without valid justification, file an administrative First Appeal before the First Appellate Authority (Collector of North/South Goa) under the Time-Bound Delivery Act.
