The Certificate Certificate is issued to those applicants who belongs to schedule caste, tribe or other backward caste. It is an important document that states to about the person’s fact that he/she belongs to such community i.e. schedule caste, tribe or Other Backward Community. All the district or region wise offices/department and the other concerned offices or departments in Gujarat are the only concerned authorities who provides the caste certificate by just visiting to the department and to submitting the important documents list. All applicants are required to collect the form of the caste certificate from the respective single window counter and filled the application form in a prescribed format. There is no fees will be charge to issue the caste certificate in Gujarat.

IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS FOR CASTE CERTIFICATE
- Dully filled application form in a prescribed format.
- Copy of Age proof.
- Recent family income certificate which is issued by any Gazetted Officer.
- Jamabandi (Patta) Land Revenue.
- Recent paid Water, Telephone or electricity Bill.
- 7/12 Extract of Land belonging to the Applicant or his/her family.
- An affidavit to support the above documents.
An application for issuing the caste certificate which is available at the concerned offices such as Deputy Commissioner’s office or Sub Magistrate Department. The local verification process will be conducted by the concerned authorities. If a person is applying for such certificate then, in that case, he needs the residence certificate of a particular state for a minimum time period or an affidavit which states that a person belongs to a scheduled caste or tribe or any other backward class in Gujarat.
